Through this column of your esteemed, I would like to draw your attention toward the problem of the increasing crime in our locality and the police's lackadaisical approach to the gravity of the situation.
Theft, jewellery and purse snatching, phone snatching, and eve-teasing instances are all on the rise.
Every resident is terrified, especially at night. Two motorcycles were taken from the garages of two homes last week. Even though the gates were closed, the robbers managed to break in. When left alone on the balcony, even minor objects like shoes or bags are subject to theft. We complained to the appropriate parties so they may look into the situation as soon as feasible.
Residents of the area made many complaints to the police station. Despite our best efforts, the SHO did not act on our request for permanent police patrols during the nighttime.
I sincerely implore the authorities to act to put an end to this disgusting behaviour and to punish the offenders.
