As I start driving on the Delhi-Noida Link Road, I witnessed, what can only be described as one of the worst road accidents I had ever seen.
An oil tanker, for some reason, was driving on the opposite side of the road and constantly hitting cars and even pedestrians before falling over on the road and bursting in flames.
I was very scared and starting racing my car away from all this carnage and so did many other cars.
Lots of people stopped their cars at a distance and started calling loved ones and emergency services. Within 5 minutes the fire brigade as well as the Police were on their way.
I didn't want to stop any longer and left for home
When I reached home, I saw on the news that the flame was controlled and the the driver was in critical condition. Apart from that, thankfully, no one else was injured
I Met With An Accident
Last week I met with a nasty accident. I was rerunning home quite excitedly after the school. The next two days were weekend holidays. I wanted to reach home as early as possible. There was great crowd on the roads on account of being the festival of Lohri.
As I reached the main road, two boys on motorcycle came speeding and hit my bicycle from behind. I flew in the air for a few seconds before falling on the ground. My bicycle was badly disfigured. I received grazes on my arms and legs. People gathered immediately and held the culprit boys. They turned out to be the senior students from my school. They apologized for being reckless.
A kind man from the crowd immediately took me to the doctor and had my grazes dressed. Since my bicycle could not move an inch, I hired an auto-rickshaw, put my broken bicycle onto it and reached home. My mother was anxiously waiting for me at the gate. She was exceedingly worried to see my dressing. I narrated her the entire incident. I thanked God for a narrow escape.
