One of the most dangerous threats to life on earth is the increase in pollution. Since the last century, the immense increase in pollution in nature has been the cause of many harmful effects. Increase in Global warming, reduction in the quality of air and water and an increase in life-threatening diseases are some of the main effects of pollution. Hence, it is the need of the hour to look into the issue and find alternatives to them. It is one of the important duty and responsibilities of every citizen that we must keep our environment clean and do not disturb it. Due to the increase in population and pollution, the balance of nature has reached the point which is harming the nature and the ecological balance. Students need to understand the importance of being the part of the world and help in maintaining its balance. They should initiate society to plant more trees, to stop throwing garbage anywhere, to use the resources efficiently and to educate the people about maintaining ecological balance.  The main aim of the Clean India Green India campaign is to stop the unlimited cutting of the trees and to decrease the production of pollution.  The mission is about planting more and more trees to bring the greenery and fresh environment back. It was one of the initiatives of the Indian government under the minister Arun Jaitley that the mission of Clean India and Green India saw its emergence. On 2nd October the calendar with the theme of Clean India and Green India was launched by the minister Arun Jaitley. The mission of Clean and Green India was launched among the other two initiatives of the Government which is Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Digital India. in the calendar, the very first page contains a photograph of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is standing with a broom in his hand to clean.
