Dear Parents,
The Farewell for the class 10 batch of 2018-19 was held on Wednesday, 23rd January 2019.The students of class 9 and the class teachers of classes 9 and 10 were involved.
The venue for the event was the senior and the junior assembly halls. The halls had been decorated with balloons of the house colours and an arch had also been made using balloons of the school and house colours.The P.T.A members helped out with the decorations. The students of class 9 had made a contribution to help with the expenses.
The programme commenced at 11 A.M. All the staff members and students of classes 9 were present to welcome the class 10 batch. A Welcome March had been organized and the students of class 10 marched in with one of the teachers, in a procession. The Principal and the head boy led the March.
Once the boys and teachers had settled down, a prayer service was conducted by Mr. Elias Coelho. The theme of the prayer service was ‘spread your Wings’. Teachers of classes 9 and 10 read out parts from Abraham Lincoln’s letter to his son’s teacher to emphasize the values of honesty, humility and hard work. The prayer service ended with a beautiful prayer song.
This was followed by the much awaited video made about the fun moments of school life of the class 10 boys, made by the students of class 9.
The Principal’s address followed. In his speech, Father Francis Swamy emphasized the values that St. Mary’s had inculcated in the students which they must carry with them wherever they go. He hoped that they would all be ‘Men For Others.’
This was followed by a surprise item which was a dance recital put up by the boys of class 9. The dance showcased the fun of school life.
Mr. George Hilbert conducted the rounds for Marian of the Year. The judges were Ms. Clementine Monteiro, Ms. Nirmala Fernandes and Ms. Sandra Fernandes There were three rounds-The Introduction Round (where students introduced themselves in a unique way; ten students were selected by the judges for the next round, the Talent Round (where the students showcased their talents) . The final round was the Extempore Round (where students answered a question they had been asked on the spot).The second runner up in the Marian of the Year contest was Ayaan Khan, the second Runner-up was Imtaz Sayyid and the Marian of the Year 2018-10 was Kanishq Panchal. The three winners were awarded trophies by the Principal.
After the contest, father Swamy along with the class teachers if class 10 gave out the souvenirs to the outgoing students of class 10.The souvenir was a satchel with the school logo and the name of the student printed on it.
The Parents of the outgoing batch gave gifts to all the staff members to show their appreciation in tutoring and guiding their wards over the years.
The students and teachers were then led to the Senior assembly hall for lunch.
The day was a memorable one both for the outgoing batch and the teachers. There was a lot of emotion and nostalgia as students took photographs around the majestic school building where they had spent their childhood

It was an incredible evening hosted and organised by class IX students, to bid farewell for class X students. This is to wish them a great future.
The programme started at 3.00 pm with a prayer followed by delivering a few soothing messages by the Correspondent, Principal, Co-ordinator, Administrator Officer and their class teacher.
Students of class IX performed music on keyboard, dances and each student was given an interesting task, to perform. The highlight was a power point presentation which threw fun and added life to the party
