THE TRAIN ACCIDENT
Railway accident is very common these days. However, it can be guessed that when thousands of trains run over the rail track every day and some mishap sometimes cannot be ruled out. Accidents may occur due to some mechanical failure, but often they occur due to human error.
Day before yesterday, a horrible accident took place between two trains near the lock railway station.
It so happened that the Rajdhani Express was coming at full speed. It was a through train and was thus not to stop at this station.
The station master gave the wrong signal and the Rajdhani Express re-named into the passenger train which was approaching the station from the opposite directing.
The two mighty engines struck each other like two fearful demons. Both of them were smashed and the drivers and cleaners of both of them were killed on the spot.
Two bogies of the Rajdhani Express were destroyed, while tour front bogies of the passenger train also met the same fate.
The railway safety system should be brushed up to make travel risk free.

Two trains collided at the Kacheguda station in Telangana's Hyderabad. Sixteen people have been injured in the accident so far, including a driver who was trapped in his badly mangled cabin for eight hours.
The incident occurred when an MMTS train and an express train had a head-on collision between Kacheguda- Malakpet railway stations in Hyderabad. Sixteen passengers suffered injuries and have been rushed to nearby hospitals.
Railway authority and local administration have been rushed to the spot. According to the initial report, the driver of the local train is still stuck in the engine.
"Received the tragic news of the train accident in Hyderabad & immediate instructions have been given to the authorities for assistance & monitoring," Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted.
"Railway administration is extending assistance & have made arrangements for the treatment of the injured at the accident site," he said.
The probe has found that MMTS was coming from Lingampally and was headed towards Falaknuma when around 10.30 am it collided with the express train coming from Kurnool which was heading to Secunderabad at Kanchegunda railway station yard.
Six coaches of MMTS service and three coaches of Hundry Express were affected while 16 passengers were injured, they were immediately rushed to Osmania General Hospital out of which two were discharged.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver of the MMTS train failed to locate the signal and overshoot it.
The driver of MMTS train is currently trapped in the mangled loco and efforts are on to retrieve him.
An inquiry into the accident has been ordered by the South Central Railway.
