"Bank Robbery at Zaveri Bazaar"
Mumbai, 30th January:
On 30th January 2019, four armed robbers robbed the State Bank of India, Zaveri Bazar branch at gunpoint. The CCTV footage near the bank showed that the four men arrived in a black Omni and shot a bullet at the security watchmen.
The injured watchmen couldn't do anything and the robbers used hostages as a bait to get their work done. Within 5 minutes they looted jewellery worth rupees 1 crore and hard cash worth rupees 60 lakhs from the locker of the bank.
The suspects then escaped using the same vehicle, and the injured security guy was headed to the hospital immediately. Doctor Mahendra says, "It was a serious situation as the bullet was very close to his heart, but we managed to save his life successfully."
