A camp was organized by the social issue society of Xyz college, on 14th January 2021 to enlighten the student about the new trend flourishing on social media apps as selfie mania which has caused major havoc in the lives of teenagers. Selfie mania is considered a situation in which today’s youth are keen to just take a picture of every moment to post on social media. People are going crazy to introduce their personal lives on the internet, rather than enjoying and being in the moment. Reports have covered a news headline, where a woman climbed the railing of the skyscraper in Dubai without any harness and life support just by holding hands of her boyfriend just to post an image of the same on the social media app. The rising number of risks related to the bizarre trend has got concerned authorities to take action and enlighten people to not risk their lives for such trends that are creating a nuisance.
