Maharashtra day and Labour day were celebrated on 1st may,2015. The assembly was conducted by the teachers incharge in marathi giving importance of Maharashtrian culture.
The School displayed a rich Maharashtrian culture through its display with Lezim, Powada based on Chatrapati Shivaji. All Maharashtrians irrespective of their caste, creed, religion or color are equally excited because it marks the day Maharashtra attained statehood.
The speaker teacher Nayana Salian welcomed the principal and the manager with a vibrant tune of the lezim. Powada and Speech were well delivered in marathi by the students, followed by a concluding speech by our Principal Sr. Philomena.
The presence of students and teachers dressed in orange colour made the celebration more eventful.

The Grand day for Maharashtra was celebrated in the junior college of St. Stephens last Saturday glorifying the day when they got the essence of statehood. Originally, Maharashtra day is celebrated on 1st May every day and it is a holiday for the state.
The dean initiated the ceremony with the opening speech followed by the assembly of teachers who gave their speeches for their home states. The professors restricted their speeches to Marathi for adding some extra essence to the day.
Cultural events were performed by students. They danced and sang to their Marathi songs.
The day depicted a successful celebration of Maharashtra Day.
