Recently a book exhibition was organised by the local public library of Nalbari district near

Natyamandir Auditorium hall. The exhibition

started from 25 January, 2020 and ended on

31st January, 2020. This celebration of the

’LIBRARY WEEK’ was successful just

because of the coordination of the librarian

T.K. Goswami and all student assistants.

All the categories of book were in the

exhibition for kids, students as well as for

aged. The seminar was inaugrated by the

MLA of Nalbari, Mr. Ashok Sharma. He

gave a speech on the importance of reading

good books. There was a beautiful Bihu

dance show and one act play by the students

for the audience. Library was clean and full

of books. Even there was competetion of

writing the review on the famous assamese

novel "Mrityunjay" (Immortal) by Birendra

Kumar Bhattacharya and the three best

written entries were awarded with the cash

price of Rs.2000 and a novel of Mamoni

Raisom Goswami titled "Mamare Dhara

Tarowal" (The Rusted Sword).
