write a report on charity day in school
Answers
On Friday 18th March 2016 Sale Grammar School celebrated another successful Charity Day, with each of our four Halls sharing an incredible £3880 amongst their six deserving charities. Charity Day is an annual event which sees our school’s community spirit at its very best. Students play a variety of roles; from electing the charities that they personally would like to support, to planning and organising their own fundraising events on the day. All students rise to the challenge of raising as much money as possible and this year has been one of our most successful.
With a small donation, students are invited to attend school in their own clothes and the day then begins with an ever popular Krispy Kreme sale at break time. 700 donuts were consumed in the space of fifteen minutes, raising hundreds of pounds towards our grand total. The main event occurs at lunchtime when the sports hall becomes a bustling and vibrant market place. With stalls ranging from ‘human fruit machine’ to ‘blindfolded Pictionary’, students are united in two common aims: to have fun and, more importantly, to raise money.
Each of our four Halls are proud to be able to donate £970 to their elected charities and would like to congratulate their Hall members on their generosity and their professionalism on the day.

Sale Grammar School held its annual Charity Day on Friday, August 5, 2022, and it was a huge success. Each of our four Halls donated an astonishing £64370 to their six chosen charity. Every year, our school's sense of community is at its height on Charity Day. Students take on a range of tasks, from choosing the organisations they personally support to organising their own fundraising activities on the actual day. This year has been one of our most prosperous because all of the students have risen to the challenge of collecting as much money as they can.
Students are welcome to come to class in their own attire for a modest donation, and the day then kicks off with the perennially famous Krispy Kreme sale at break.
In just fifteen minutes, 700 donuts were devoured, adding hundreds of pounds to our overall total. The biggest event takes place during midday when the sports hall transforms into a hopping marketplace. Students are united in two shared goals: to have fun and, more significantly, to collect money. Stalls range from "human fruit machine" to "blindfolded Pictionary."
Each of our four Halls is pleased to have been able to give £970 to the charity they selected, and they would like to commend their Hall members for their kindness and expertise on the day.
