Cyclonic storm is a storm system in which the air rotates cyclonically. It is caused by atmospheric disturbances around a low-pressure area and is usually accompanied by violent storms and severe weather conditions. Let us tell you that the tropical cyclones that are intense are known as Hurricanes over the Atlantic Ocean and Typhoons over the Pacific Ocean.

Cyclone word is derived from Greek word cyclos which means coiling of snake. Basically, tropical cyclone is a deep low pressure area. From around the centre the strong winds spirals and pick up the speeds of 62 Kmph or more. In Northern-hemisphere these winds rotate counter-clockwise and in Southern Hemisphere clockwise. For example: dust devils, super cell thunderstorm, tornadoes, tropical cyclones, extra tropical cyclones etc.
