More than 370 people died due to flash floods in the Southern state of Kerala.   Close to 7.8 lakh people were displaced from their homes due to complete damage of 8000 houses and partial destruction of 26000 houses in the state.   Flights are being cancelled at the Kochi airport and Rs. 500 crore relief package has been announced for the flood victims.
