Report:

Reasons for dropping out among the children aged 5-14 years in the year 1997-98.

Several reasons for dropping out are listed namely children not being interested in studies, difficulty in coping up, working children, economic activities, financial constraints, etc. In this report, both rural and urban children are calculated in terms of percentage.

From the table, it has been obvious that the range of children showing no interest seemed to be higher for all reasons. So, it is necessary to take some measures in reducing the percentage to impose some interests and awareness among children.
