The governments role is to make laws and rules to make sure that no one will destroy the environment. Like if someone is smoking and it turns out that cigarette makes a forest fire. There should be a law that involves consequences for that person. They should also put areas that are banned to the public so nothing like litter or fires occur. There should also be people who protect these areas and repercussions if someone does cross that area. So the government should enforce the laws and make them. To protect areas that are in danger or where animals that are slowly going extinct are. They should also make more areas where we (humans) are not populating and make nature come back. By planting trees plants putting animals and protecting these areas.
