An Interhouse Poetry Recitation Competition was organized on 25 August 2017 at K.R.MangalamWorld School for the Primary Wing. Beauty is the realm of poetry, children enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of words. Taking all these facts into consideration the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired the children to come forward and recite on stage.
The children came up with different poems on the topic “PATRIOTISM” and recited them with great zeal and enthusiasm.The final judgment was made by Mr. Madhu, who is a poet, social activist and an art event curator, our respected Principal Ms. Priya Arora, and the HOD of the English Department Ms. Deepika Gupta.
The participants from all the respective four houses – Emerald, Ruby, Topaz and Sapphire, left no stone unturned to win for their house.
Students were judged on parameters like confidence, voice modulation, the props used and on the overall presentation.
From class III, Madhav Gaur of Emerald House stood first, whereas, Jiya Grover of Emerald House and Tejas Dhawan of Sapphire House secured the second and third position respectively.Among Class IV students, Vivaan Sharma of Ruby House was declared as the first position holder and Rhythm Malaviya of Ruby House stood second and Tanay Gupta of Emerald House stood third in the competition.
From class V, Arnav Pant from Emerald House bagged the first position, whereas, Kreeti Chaudhary from Ruby House got the second position and Akshat Taneja from Ruby House got the third position.The judges appreciated and applauded the performance of the participants and the feeling of patriotism filled the air with love and respect for our motherland
INTER-HOUSE POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION
On 25th November 2018, ABC public school observed its Inter-house Poetry Recitation Competition for the secondary and senior secondary classes. The musical and rhythmic words of the poetry are enjoyed by the students. They enjoy the beauty of thoughts, feelings, expressions, and rhyming in the poem. Taking this as a consideration, we provided children with an opportunity to exhibit their talent and recite their own or known poem to everyone.
The program began following the speech from principal Mr. ABC sir and then children began reciting poem on different topics. Some of the topics were patriotism, women empowerment, childhood and so forth. The judges to this program were Mr. Priyam Singh, Head of Department of English and Mrs. Madhur, head of Department of Hindi.
Students were judged on the parameters like voice, rhythm, confidence, presentation, and modulation.
From Lotus house, Rishabh of class 7th stood first. His theme for the poem was Women empowerment. The second and third position was grabbed by Shruti and Mahir from Rose and Sunflower houses respectively. The position holders were applauded and were given cash prize by our school principal.
