REPUBLIC DAY AT JAIHIND COLLEGE <br> Mumbai , January 27 : This year Republic Day was <br> celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the <br> campus . It was a special occasion because Mahendra <br> Singh of the NCC was to be felicitated for winning <br> the target shooting gold medal by the police academy. <br> The National flag was hoisted at 7.30 am, by the <br> Principal of the college . The National Anthem was <br> played by the college .band while everyone stood <br> respectfully in attention position . Nikita Rao of <br> standed 12th recited a poem composed by har- ' My <br> Great Nation ' . This was well appreciated by one and <br> all . Well known social reformer . Amar Patil was the <br> chief guest who spoke to us about our social duties as <br> a citizen of the Republic India . Mahendra Singh was <br> given the award by Amar Patil . Students of 11th Sci. <br> sang a group . Vote of thanks was proposed by <br> the superisor of the college, Mr . Kapoor . Sweets <br> were distributed and the gathering dispersed after <br> singing the National Anthem .
