Delhi Public School, Durgapur celebrated 68th Republic Day on 26th January 2017 with great enthusiasm in the school premises, honouring the Constitution of India with the theme- ‘Soch Badlo, Desh Badlega’. The audience witnessed the wonderful sight of the high and fluttering Indian tricolor flag hoisted by Lt. Colonel M.N Dey, who expressed his delight at the end of the programme.
The celebration started with the singing of patriotic songs acknowledging the martyrs for their sacrifices. The dance recitals involving various movements, mesmerizing formations engrossed the audiences to the core. The performances exhibited the need to combat social vices that are still prevalent in our society. The celebration was an initiative to change the mindset steeped in narrowness, to lead the nation towards prosperity and living in a fair state, free of all the social evils.
