In India, Teachers' day is celebrated on 5th September, the birthday of the former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a well-known scholar, teacher and promoter of education. On this special day, students celebrate the contribution of teachers in their lives and shaping up the society.
September 5th, birthday of Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, was celebrated in our school. His footsteps, the teachers follow, are being proved on Teacher’s Day. The performance of students on stage exclusively for teachers was a memorable one. Students from class VI to XII exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Dance, music, mimicry and skit made the day explicable. The students took great effort and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. Followed by the cultural programme, games like musical chair and tug of war were conducted for the teachers by the students. All the students from Class III expressed their thankfulness to see their teachers and were full of beans. An oath was taken by the teachers whole-heartedly which was given by our Chairman and the same was read out by our Correspondent. The oath insisted on quality teaching irrelevant to caste, creed or religion.
