SCHOOL FOUNDATION DAY OBSERVED

Kakdwip , 15th July , 2018 :- Students , teachers , non-teaching staff , ex-students and guardians of S.A.V. observed the School Foundation Day on 14th July , 2018 with great enthusiasm . It was a festive day for the students and the teachers . A day long function started at 10.00 am. with hoisting of the school flag by the headmaster of our school . At least 2000 students were present there in the function . The representative from the family of the founder graced the occasion with his presence . The students of various classes arranged a variety of stage performance such as recitation , song , dance and different group activities . The A.D.I. of the school and the B.D.O. were also present to enrich the function with their inspiring speeches . The H.M gave a long speech on the glorious history of the school and its contribution to the expansion of education among the backward classes . The program was ended with distribution of sweets . The entire function was a grand success .

Al Shifa Schools of Arts and Science having completed one fruitful year, celebrated the first foundation day on 17 may2022 The programme commenced at 10 am in the college auditorium with a prayer followed by welcome address by the Principal Dr. P.K Babu. In his talk, he briefed on the wide variety of activities, both online and offline, conducted by the college within this short span of time. He expressed how the school stands out with a vision, vigour and value of a new kind. He also talked about the different add-on programmes conducted by the college in each semester, which is capable of enhancing the students’ career-capability and making them aware of the current and evolving trends in their subjects.

The welcome address was followed by the Foundation Day Lecture by Dr. Saji Gopinath, Vice Chancellor, Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology. In his lecture he talked about the evolving trends in the economy and society which the pandemic has brought about. The period of pandemic has brought about a completely new way of life, proving that the paradigms of practices could be upended. Technology brought about a new world where the services are reaching directly to the customers bypassing the middle men. This has empowered many segments of the society and broken the apparently unbreakable. There is an abundance of opportunities to excel today as we are not confined to the resources just before us. Dr. Saji Gopinath also added that the employability rate of Keralites are relatively low due to the lack of skill-integration in education. He concluded by saying that the young generation have to imprint strong footprints so that no storm can erase them.

The foundation lecture was followed by the official inauguration of the event by honourable MLA of Manjeri, Adv. U.A. Latheef. The programme was presided over by Dr. P.Unneen, Medicare Trust.Managing Trustee Shifa Medicare Trust Chief Executive Pilakkal Hamza, Secretary K.T Abdul Razzaque and General Manager Suhail Hamza delivered felicitations in the programme.

Honourable MLA of Manjeri, Adv. U.A. Latheef gave away the scholarship awarded by the college, to Anshif. T of II B.Com Taxation, for his achievement in Arts at State-level school youth festival, in the programme.

The programme concluded with Mr. Rohit Ravi, IQAC coordinator, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science proposing vote of thanks
