Sonapur, September 20 : A gang of nine robbers looted a heavy amount of Rs 78 lakhs from the UCO bank, Sonapur Branch today which is 25kms from Guwahati. It is reported from local people that the robbers had come in a Scorpio car They entered the branch at around 12.34 p.m. They demanded the cashier to hand over all the cash.When he refused to do so, he was shot dead.The security guards have been hospitalized due to deep lesions of the gun shot.The robbers fled away. Police investigation is still going on over the robbery. However, no arrests have been made so far.Futher news will be updated.
