The IFAW-WTI-Assam Forest Department Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation is protecting animals in Kaziranga National Park from the dangers of human disruption.
Problem
Kaziranga National Park is a tiger reserve and UNESCO world natural heritage site located in Assam, India. The park is home to 35 species of mammals and 500 species of birds. Asian Highway 1 (National Highway 715) runs nearby the park.
As species follow their migration paths and search for higher ground during annual floods, animals like the hog deer, water buffalo, Asian elephants, and rhinoceros are forced to cross the road, dodging cars and trucks as they do. Many die. And even more become separated from their families or herds.
REPORT WRITING
Date: 24th July 2020
Place: Delhi
Recently, I proceeded to look up on the animal rehabilitation centre regulated by PAC (People for Animal's Care) which is an NGO. I haven't seen better place like that, they have made a shelter with hospital facilities for animals. The place is near Gautam Budh Nagar outer area.
PAC initiated this mission with the help of only common people which were 7 in numbers. Now NGO is running by 35 people on their own money. They haven't took any donations by asking anyone. The opportunity to help is open for all if people wants to help on their ownselves, which I liked very much, it shows their efforts and love for nature.
NGO is now getting financial help by state government as they were doing really a great job. They are taking care of animals like- Cow, Cats, Birds, Monkey, Rabbits and other domestic animals.
This non-profit organization stands to upgrade the situations for the poor helpless animals and to create awareness programs among humans towards the safety and care for innocent animals. If people want, they can adopt animals or do financial help to the organization.
Also, they have private OPD where the vet doctors take care of those animals who are injured or medically unhealthy. Some of these animals are also in the last phase of their life and the PAC would try to give them happiness and serve them to live longer.
I must say I found peace visiting there, visit the place that brings you peace and show you the reality of nature these days. Help them if you want and find peace in helping innocent animals.
Thankyou.
