Explanation:World Environment Day is celebrated every year worldwide on 5th of June. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 in order to raise global awareness about the environmental issues. It is celebrated to motivate people to take positive environmental actions in order to protect the nature on this planet. This campaign was declared when United Nations Conference on the Human Environment started. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme. On the celebration event of World Environment Day 2015, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi was planted a sapling at his official residence (7, Race Course Road, New Delhi).
The main objectives of this campaign are encouraged among public by the media and celebrities through endorsing and participating in its celebration. The goodwill ambassadors from United Nations Environment Programme send messages worldwide to take actions for World Environment Day. This campaign makes a call to the people to join its celebration event in mass number to get aware of the real environment conditions and be an agent of the effective programs against environmental issues to combat with the climate changes. We should involve in the celebration and take pledge to save our environment for better future.

Mr. Salman Khan was the Chief Guest of this ceremony. He planted a rose plant and inaugurated ceremony.There were lot of crowd as many people gathered to watch Salman Khan and also to be a part of this programme. He addressed in his speech to all people “To save mother earth plant more trees”. Students of our 11th Std Div. A erformed Drama on ‘Mother Earth’, apart from this class -12th students performed a group song to save mother earth. At last college gave an activity to all the students “Cultivate Seeds and Nurture the Plant” under this activity our college arranged Exhibition to show how students have nurtured various plants. Tree plantation was also done in the college ground. After all the activities snacks was distributed to all the students and staff. Our Principal Sir name of the principle felicitated Mr. Salman Khan, and said special thanks for sharing his time with us. Overall the programme was a great success with everyone’s effect.
