Answer:
We had an opportunity to visit this city in the course of an educational trip. We started at 7:30 am on 26th November, 2016 and reached by 10:00 am. There was a moment of hush as the students crossed the palatial doors of the Imambara. The guides enriched the team with facts, escorted it to the dark, looming doors of the ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’. The students tried to act brave and defiant but the fact remained that the labyrinth gave us the creeps. There was much enthusiasm as they made their way through the confusing passages. Sounds of laughter and cat calls filled the air. It was as if the passages were alive again. The terrace provided an over view of the Imambara. There are four floors upwards and the same number of floors underground. It was amazing to know how people of the past used to communicate news of war from one passage to another. After sometime we were back in sunshine and boarded the bus for the Banyan tree. The Banyan tree is one of the largest Banyan tree in all of India. The nature camp coordinator enriched our minds on how the penance of a sage was the fruit of this wonderful tree. There is a Brahma mandir also built by the villagers. He then arranged for two different competitions. The first one was to find the circumference and the other was to dress up Banyan tree. We being the city dwellers know little of village and nature. This trip was full of soothing pleasure. The visit to Imambara and Banyan tree displayed an astonishingly large display of graffiti. This is a disgrace to the Indian heritage. Wild and insensible graffiti adorned the walls and branches of the Banyan tree. I would like the students to ponder over this issue. Lastly, I thank Principal Sir and Teachers, without them this trip would not have been possible. I thank my friend for their constant companionship and wish to be a part of more such educational trips.
