The Republic Day is a red -letter day in the history of our country .it is celebrated on the 26 January .it has great national importance .. India become a republic on the 26 January ,1950 .Our country had been under foreign rule for centuries .The Indian constitution came into force on the 26 January 1950 so the Republic day is celebrated year to remember the great event . It is the joy for the people of our country .it is celebrated with great enthusiasm in my school.
This year the Republic day was celebrated in my school in a fine way .All the teachers and students of my school compound in early morning .We paraded through the streets of the town with national flags .we shouted national slogans and sang national songs .Then we returned to our school .we stood in rows for flag hosting .Then Headmaster of my school hoisted the national flag at 8a .m ,Then we sang the national anthem .Some teachers of my school of my school told us that our country had made great progress after independence Her remainder us that we would be the leaders of our country in future He advised us to turn our country into a better place to live in future .He advised us to turn our country into a better place to live in.
