Last week I got a wonderful opportunity to take part in an inter school mime competition.

I felt that a competition without any speech would be boring but I was wrong.

I saw some of the best mime performances in the city on a variety of social topics like save water, stop child labour, say no to dowry and corruption is hell etc.

Our play on farmers committing suicide was well appreciated by the judges as the most emotional play.

Terrific acting from mime actors forced us to realise that if movements and gestures speak their own language, a story can be narrated without words.
