the equation means that we have a fixed value of 7.6 initially. and it's increasing linearly by the rate (that is slope) of 0.2

the intercept 7.6 shows initial value of y which is our function or initial asset which is dependent on independent variable x and is increasing with respect to x by the rate of 0.2

now let's take an example,

let x be time and y be air pullution index of a City.

initially when we started to record, the value was say 7.6,

now with time , there's a linear increase in pullution index with respect to time. hence we may define air pullution index as a function of time with increasing rate of 0.2 that is the slope.

if slope was negative, it would have been the rate of decrease of our function.

I hope you got it.

if not, you may discuss about it further
