Good morning and it's lovely to be here. Standing before you is XXX from the school YYY to give a talk on the topic, "" Responsibility to preserve our cultural heritage"".

Every country follows it's unique culture. India, our motherland is known for its rich culture and

traditions. Culture is the belief, custom, art of a particular society, group or a place whereas the tradition is a way of thinking or doing something that has been followed by the people or following the rituals that have been a part of the culture of a group of people.

Our joys are closely related with the traditions. For instance, all the festivals that we love to celebrate are nothing but our traditions. They form an integral part of our society. It's like if you take any tradition and closely examine them, you will find many benefits in it. The tradition of going to temple, makes us feel the presence of powers and helps us to relax by chanting mantras.

Our parents right from our childhood days, teach us to respect our elders. Being respectful to the elders teach us to be humble and talk in a polite way to the people and respond to them in a calm way. Even in the schools, it has been taught to respect and listen to elders.

The important tradition of South Indian Brahman is to learn Carnatic music. Music connects multiple cultures says Bombay Jayshree, a famous female vocalist and an excellent playback singer from South India. We have so many benefits from music but we feel really hard to realize it. You know, a song makes us feel safe, heals, touches us, sensitizes us and brings us to the closed environment where we could see everything with more feel and more sensitivity. Many people love music not because they know the grammar of the music, not because they understood the lyrics of the song, rather there is something in the air that connects our soul with different heart touching raga and thaalaas.

Coming to the next, another blessing we have is, following the joint family system. It is found only in India. Being lonely brings difficulties in different situations. It also affects our mental health. Living with our family people helps us to come out of all such difficult situations and to lead a happy and healthy life.

So, we must adhere to all our traditions and culture. Modifying them as per our convenience should not be our tradition.

Thank you!
