For the last Independence day celebration in our school, we organised a skit on Patriotism.
I'll try to write it down
It was about social elements that divide the country. We tried to draw lines between the India of today and real India it can be.
Scene 1
People of various religions come together to celebrate the independence day. A Christian, an Hindu , a Sikh , a parsing all forget their differences to celebrate the most important festival. The scene also shows a rich greedy man trying to divide the country when they are together. His efforts become futile.
Scene 2
A Christian comes an talks to the Christian. He says that moving with people of other religion is wrong. Similarly one person of all other religions come and talk with one other and divide all.
Scene 3
The people start fighting with everybody. Random mob and fires come out. People forget the occasion and fight within each other.
Scene 4
Then a stranger comes by. He takes the bag of the rich greedy man which has clothes of various religions.The people realise that it is the same man who conspired among the people and divide them.
The above skit was enacted as a mime without dialogues and only actions and background music.
