Answer:

Autobiography of a river

Explanation:

My name is River Nirvana. I am a dying river. I am the last of a dying breed. I am a river in the twenty-second century.

I am dying as a result of the global warming that begun in the early twentieth and twenty-first centuries. I am dying a slow and cruel death.

Toxic wastes have been dumped in me. The fish that used to thrive in my waters are now carcasses in my river bed. Adverse weather conditions have resulted in a lack of rainfall for the last three years. I am slowly drying up and no one can hear my cries. The carcasses of animals that once depended on me are the testimony of the fate that is inevitable for man.

I was once bubbling with energy and life. Myriads of assorted fish used to swim in my waters. Animals large and small used to slake their thirst on my banks. Humans too depended on me to irrigate their farms, wash their clothes and bathe their bodies.

I can only reminisce of my bygone glory days. I am now dying a slow and excruciating death.
