I have a small beautiful garden at my home in pune. There are many beautiful flowers in our garden. Rose, Hibiscus, Lilly, Orchids, Sunflower, Dalia etc. are some of them. My grandmother takes care of our garden. When we go to Kerala for vacation, I help my grandmother to water the plants. She teaches me how to plant and take care of them. When we go to visit our friends and relatives, we collect different plants from their garden also. Every time when we go for vacation, we used to visit the nurseries in our neighborhood with my father and collect more plants. My most favorite flower is rose flower and orchids. We have different varieties of roses and orchids in our garden. Sometimes my little naughty brother tries to pluck the flowers. I love my garden

Gardening! It is a hard work. It is even a dirty work. You have to dig up the hard earth and make its heart soft. Not only this. You have to plan it well. You have to lay out beds for different kinds of plants. They require great care. They must get food and water in time. All this requires hard work and it fills your body with dirt and sweat. How dirty you get!

So, a Gardener has to play the role of a mother all the time. You cannot leave your garden to the care of servants. No good mother ever leaves her children to a nurse. She feeds her children with her own hands. Your garden, too, needs your personal care. It needs your love. Your love helps it grow well. Your garden requires food and water. But, above all, it requires your love and affection. A plant is something living. It feels as men and animals feel. So, you must love leaves and flowers, as a lover loves his beloved. You should touch them gently. Your soft touch will make them smile.
