Dr. Rajendra Prasad was a great leader of India. He was the first President of India. He was born on the 3rd December, 1884 at Ziradei a small village in the district of Saran. He was a noble, gentle, honest, humble, wise hard-working and learned man. He was very simple and kind-hearted. His father Shree Mhadeva Sahay was famous for his noble qualities.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad got his early education at home. He was taught Persian and Urdu there. Later on he was admitted to Zila School, Chapra. He was a brilliant student. He stood first in all the examinations right from Matriculation to M.A. having passed the BL Exam. he started his practice at the Calcutta High Court under on he came to Patna and started his practice there. Dr. Rajendra Prasad went to jail several times for the freedom of India. He helped Gandhi jee in his work of Champaran. He gave up his practice of law for the sake of service to the country. He served the people with honesty. He was called "Ajatshatru'. passed away on the 28th February, 1963 at Patna India shall never forget her worthy son.
