Radio and it's uses
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The radio has become a part of modern civilization. Every modern home has got it.It announces, at intervals, important news of the day and gives out entertaining programmes. We are treated to classical and light music. Lilting film tunes also delight us.
We can tune in to any station, local or foreign. In fact, the radio has made the world much smaller than it is. Sometimes when we hear news of developments in other countries, we feel that the human race is just one big family.A sudden calamity in some country us sad. when thousands die elsewhere we think we have lost our kith and kin.
The radio brings us news much quicker than newspaper. Day-long commentaries on cricket matches even distant countries draw crowds of enthusiastic listeners. They dance and shout as if they were witnessing a test match before them. There is a new development . The big radio set at home is giving way to the easily portable transistor. Therefore people carry them whenever they go.There fore radio is very useful.
Thanks!
