Earlier this month, New Delhi successfully hosted The World Cultural Festival from March 11-13.

Organized by The Art of Living Foundation and spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the festival was conducted at an unprecedented scale - over 3 million people reportedly attended the event over three days, over 1000 Art of Living volunteers created the world’s largest oval-shaped stage over 7 acres, 37,000 artists from over 100 countries performed at the event, and more than 200 statesmen, heads of states, public figures and executives from across the globe graced the occasion.

Facebook exclusively partnered with The Art of Living Foundation to give millions of others across the globe an opportunity to follow the event in real time and participate in the festival.

Facebook Live, 360, and Video

In the build up to the event, Art of Living created an exclusive video series for Facebook on the importance of the World Cultural Festival that featured public figures such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan, U.S. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and Bollywood actors Lara Dutta, Dia Mirza, and Hema Malini.

Joining the Facebook Conversation

People around the world were able to join the conversation on Facebook through dedicated World Cultural Festival prompts in the composer section of their profile, and Art of Living encouraged their followers to participate in the event by using a unique hashtag, #worldculturefestival.
