In India, the Green Revolution applies to a period when Indian agriculture was transformed into an industrialized arrangement due to the selection of advanced techniques and technology such as the use of high yielding variety (HYV) seeds, pesticides, irrigation facilities, tractors, and manure. The advantages of this revolution can be seen in the fact that it substantially increased the food production of wheat and rice and increased employment in the primary sector.
