decline of handicrafts industries :- before the implementation of colonial rule India was well known for its handicrafts , but after implementation of colonial rule it came to end. How britishers contributed it to end ? - indian craftsmen were forced to work under british government at low wage rates. - heavy export duty is placed on indian handicrafts - dumping of british goods (the process of selling the finished goods at lower price to finish the stock of another industry).

de-industrialisation :- it means decrease in production capacity of an economy. British government followed this rule with two/twin objectives of them are as follows :- - to make India an exporter of raw material to meet industrial needs in britain. (the objective is to get resources for industries , this is how it achieved) - to increase the revenue by selling the finished products of britain in India. (the objective is to sell , finish the stock and earn revenue , this is how it has achieved).
