the following points are as given below about the Shiwalik range of Himalayas-:

1) The Shiwalik  is the outermost range of the Himalayas.

2) It's width extends over 10-50 km and altitude 900- 1100 m.

3) it is composed of unconsolidated sediments brought down by these

rivers.

4) It is covered with thick gravel and alluvium, ( materials used in forming of the Shiwalik Range.

5) Longitudinal valleys between Himachal and Shiwalik are found, known as 'duns'.

6) Eg- Dehradun, Patlidun and Kotlidun.
