Akbar's full name is Jalal-ud-din-Muhammad Akbar. He was the successor of Humayun who ruled the country from 1556 to 1605. He ruled the country under the guidance of Bairam Khan who helped the young king to expand the Mughal dominancy in India. Akbar enlarged his Mughal empire and took most of the Indian subcontinent under his control. He established a strong and very stable economy that led to commercial expansion and great patronage of art and culture in India. He established a library at Fatehpur sikri which was exclusively made for women. He established many schools for both Hindus and Muslims during his reign. Akbar reign is specifically highlighted in history as he was the only Mughal king who ruled over india for such a long period of time. He abolished jizyah on non-muslims and also appointed them on higher civil and military posts. He was the first mughal emperor to win trust and loyalty of the native subjects. lately he was succeeded by his son jahangir. he conquested into rajputanas and malwa .his foster brother adaham khan commanded the army and began the malwa quest where baz bahadur was defeated and fled to khandesh. then he conquested north rajputana mewat, ajmer and nagor. He drived into heart land of hindu emperors who previously never submitted to mughal emperors, gradually his empire kept on growing to Gujarat and Bengal and so on.
