Akbar was a Muslim and like a true Muslims he had respected all religious and faiths. He truly felt that since every religion point towards God there was no point why people belonging to different religions should not live peacefully.

With a view unite people on the basis of common religion he suggested a new religious faith which comes to be called Din-I-Illahi in which he incorporated the essence of all religions.
