Allauddin Khilji was the second and most powerful ruler of Khalji Dynasty . He reigned from 1296 to 1316 A. D. He was also the first Delhi sultan to conquer Southern India. He was also the first Muslim ruler who tried to conquer the Deccan. He died on the night of 4th January 1316.
