Atomicity of an element is a measure of the total number of atoms present in a molecule. ... Similarly, an ozone molecule (O3) consists of 3 atoms of oxygen and has an atomicity of 3. There is a simple way to determine the atomicity of any element. It can be determined as a ratio of molecular mass and atomic mass.

Atomicity can be defined as the ‘number of atoms’ in the molecules of an element. It represents the ‘number of atoms’ and always provide complete information about the atoms present in the molecule.

Atomicity of any four elements are as given below:

\bold{\mathrm{P}_{4} =} Atomicity is 4

\bold{\mathrm{S}_{8} =} Atomicity is 8

\bold{\mathrm{N}_{2} =} Atomicity is 2

\bold{\mathrm {He} =} Atomicity is 1

Hence, atomicity is the number of atoms in a molecule that is shown in the molecule.
