bacteria are single celled organisms. they have cell wall thus are considered to be related more with plants than with animals. they are included in the first kingdom of living organisms ,i.e., kingdom monera and are considered to be the first living organism that evolved on earth. they are the simplest living organisms and found on earth. bacteria are present everywhere on earth they can survive harsh conditions like drought and heat. there are four shape of bacteria : rod shaped ( bacilli ) , spherical ( cocci ) , comma shaped ( vibrio ) ,twisted ( spirilla ).
