• Her name was Sulekha. She is the main character of the story.

• She was ignored by all family members.
• Members of the family thought that she would not be liked by anyone, so she was sent to school.
• In her school, her teacher encouraged her. She educated her with good ideas.
• Bholi was transformed into a courageous girl.
• She refused to marry Bishamber because he asked a dowry of five thousand to her father.
• She said that she would take care of her parents, and serve them. She decided to work at her school.
