polymer is a large molecule made up of chains or rings of linked repeating subunits, which are called monomers. Polymers usually have high melting and boiling points. Because the molecules consist of many monomers( a molecule that can be bonded to other identical molecules to form a polymer) polymers tend to have high molecular masses.

example- silk, rubber, cellulose, wool, amber, keratin,PVC etc

Answer:

  1. Biological polymers are large molecules composed of many similar smaller molecules linked together in a chain-like fashion.
  2. The individual smaller molecules are called monomers. When small organic molecules are joined together, they can form giant molecules or polymers.
  3. These giant molecules are also called macro molecules.
  4. Natural polymers are used to build tissue and other components in living organisms.

hope this helps
