Though India is a federal country constituted with several states with some characteristics of federation yet it cannot be called a real federal state like USA.The constituent states of the union of India do not have a provision of a separate constitution for them.Indian constitution is federal in form but unitary in spirit. The central govt.is the supreme of any other state govt.
