Leeches have an open circulatory system. This means that the rate at which the blood flows is very low in leeches. There isn't a lot of complexity in the leeches circulatory system. A leech has 5 pairs of hearts in its body which helps them to maintain a slow ,constant, blood and oxygen flow throughout their bodies.
