HEYA MATE HERE IS UR ANSWER:-

A resource is a source or supply from which a benefit is produced. Resources can broadly be classified upon their availability—they are classified into renewable and non-renewable resources. They can also be classified as actual and potential on the basis of level of development and use, on the basis of origin they can be classified as biotic and abiotic, and on the basis of their distribution, as ubiquitous and localized (private resources, community-owned resources, natural resources, international resources). An item becomes a resource with time and developing technology. Typically, resources are materials, energy, services, staff, knowledge, or other assets that are transformed to produce benefit and in the process may be consumed or made unavailable. Benefits of resource utilization may include increased wealth, proper functioning of a system, or enhanced well-being. From a human perspective a natural resource is anything obtained from the environment to satisfy human needs and wants. From a broader biological or ecological perspective a resource satisfies the needs of a living organism (see biological resource).

=>Biotic Resorces refers to the resources which are obtained from biosphere and has life in it.For ex:-Flora and fauna.

=>All the resources that are obtained from the non-living things.For ex:-fuel, soil,etc

2. On the basis of exhaustibility:-

Renewable and Non-Renewable

=>Renewable resources are those resources which once used up can be renewed by physical, chemical or mechanical processes.For ex:- solar energy, Wind energy,etc.

=>Non-Renewable resource=>Non- renewable are those resource which once used up exhaust forever. For example:-fossil fuel,coal,etc

Stock,Reserve, Potential,Developed.

=>Developed:- Those resources which quantity or quality is surveyed and is presently used by everyone.For example:- metals, Salt,etc.

=>Reserved resource:- Those resources which we have but we reserved then for our future generations.For example:-Hydroelectricity.

=>Stock:- Matrials in the environment which have the potential to satisfy human needs but human beings do not have the appropriate technology to access them.For example :- We have H2 and O2 present in water but we do mot have approprate technology to made water from them.

=>Potential resource:- Those resources which are found in region,but have not been utilized.For example:- Rajasthan and gujarat have enormous potential for development of wind and solar energy,but so far these have not been developed properly.

I trulely hope this will definately help you dear...
