Answer:

The collapse of the Berlin Wall was the culminating point of the revolutionary changes sweeping East Central Europe in 1989. Throughout the Soviet bloc, reformers assumed power and ended over 40 years of dictatorial Communist rule. The reform movement that ended communism in East Central Europe began in Poland.

Explanation:

Post world War-2  Era , world was divided into western block i.e. UK, France < WEST Germany , Japan, Netherlands  including USA, SOuth Korea .They aligned to form NATO , which is sort of Defense alignment. it was following Capitalist culture

Just like Western Bloc , Countries Like USSR , POland ,Eastern Germany , Czechslovakia ,China, North Korea formed part of Eastern Bloc. They were following Communist ideology . Over the decades the Communist Blocs were more sort of Dictatorial countries, Stalin in USSR, Teto In Czech, Kim dynasty in North Korea. They have defense council as well under CIETO , Over the Years , the Communist countries failed to live upto expectations. While there was all around growth in westen Nation , in eastern Bloc power remained centralised to certain cities & Ppl . West Germany overcame war defeats & came out stronger , as south Korea also set new benchmarks for developments. the Eastern counterparts were still having below average   Per capita income. After the USSR lost Afghan War, it states Besides Russia , which were underdeveloped compared to Russia , Ukraine . Czechslovakia has already disintegrated into chech republic & Slovakia.

Poland was run by Proxy government By Russian post war , but overthrown after ppl resistence in 1989.

Simillarly the berlin Wall was brought down in 1989 after revolt in Hungary & Poland , & Thus unified Germany was formed where west assimilated the east deficiencies , & now Germany as a whole is in much better state. The USSR divided in 15 republic , where many of them followed Eastern Bloc republics pattern
