Cyanobacteria is a phylum of bacteria which belongs to kingdom Eubacteria.
It is also known as  cynophyta. They get energy from the process of photosynthesis and produce oxygen.They are prokaryotes which don't have nuclear membrane. They are  the only phylum able to produce oxygen. They are found in soil etc..
