Nepal has no long history of democratic movement that intended to introduce western democratic values. In post Rana period, Nepal introduced western model multi- party system in post 1951 that continued till one decade. Nepals democratic experiment suffered serious setback in December 1960 when the first elected government led by NC leader B. P Koirala was dissolved and the whole party activities were banned in Nepal in post 1960 period that continued till 1979.The organized movement for the restoration of democratic polity was undertaken in mass uprising in 1990 that, among other things, led to the fall of non-party panchayat system and the restoration of British model multi- party system in Nepal. Thus, the performances of democratic government can be judged on the basis of a number of indicators, as mentioned above including the demonstration of democraticpolitical culture in governmental and political activities..... nevermind!!!!!!
