Coal is a sedimentary rock mostly consists of carbon and other elements also.

Anthracite is a hard coal due to its high heat content.

Lignite coal contains a high amount of water, and it is very soft.

If we can apply pressure to the lignite when bituminous coal is formed.

Coals are formed from million of years ago they are considered to be fossil fuels. Coals are nonrenewable resources.
